Reading List: Picture Books about Autism Spectrum
Unfortunately, in my search for books about kids on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges, I have discovered how limited a selection there truly is. Hopefully more books will continue to be published for kids on this topic.
Note: As this diagnosis changes, and the terminology has changed, this can even create some limitations in the books we have to offer kids. Books using the term 'aspergers' are even fairly recent publications despite the DSM V removing the term and creating a wider 'spectrum' for autism.
