About Me
Hi!
My name is Allison. I am a former Children's Librarian in North Carolina and I have a Master of Science in Library Science (MSLS).
My name is Allison. I am a former Children's Librarian in North Carolina and I have a Master of Science in Library Science (MSLS).
When I first decided to blog about my library programs, it was because I thought it was fun to share ideas and storytimes with fellow librarians (and library assistants!) in the field. It was a helpful way to curate thematic movement songs for storytime, provide books for specific reading levels or topics, and share programming ideas for older kids.
While I am no longer a children's librarian, I am still sought out for reading recommendations or educational resources. So, I continue to add to the online forum to help parents and librarians.

Hi Allison,
ReplyDeleteI'm an English teacher at an alternative high school and I'm a big fan of your blog, particularly your curated lists of fiction and non-fiction by lexile level. Would you happen to have any resources for comprehension or activities for any of these texts that you would be willing to share? Thanks for all you do to promote literacy in your community!
Sorry for the delayed reply. I know a lot of people shy away from Sparknotes, but it truly is a great resource for some of the popular literature titles used in schools. If there are specific titles you need activities for, feel free to reach out but here is the Sparknotes link: https://www.sparknotes.com/lit/
