Adventure in Book Sourcing

I may not do storytimes or library programming anymore but I am still connected to my library community. I still see my original storytime kiddos regularly and interact with their parents.

I am consistently asked for books for specific needs or about certain topics.

As a parent of a young reader myself, the most difficult books for me to find are for burgeoning readers. It's like Goldilocks - they need to have enough words to be challenging, but not overwhelming, to a new reader. Books with a few words per page with sight words or shorter, simple words that can be easily sounded out.

So, here I return to my library blog, to help share resources when I can. Let the adventure begin!
